Her story

A lifetime close to the people.

Representative Marie Woodson has built a career on a simple conviction: public service works best when it's closest to the people. With 40 years of public-service leadership, she spent decades as a public administrator and community advocate before her election to the Florida House.

She is the first Haitian-American State Representative elected in Broward County, representing Pembroke Pines, Davie, and the surrounding communities of District 105. She has called Hollywood home for 30 years, alongside her husband Robert and their children Bradley and Kelly.
